Hello,
I noticed in the book report that books by alumni are listed. I am a American Studies graduate, May 2004. I have published a book about the Rappahannock River and the history of Richardsville in Culpeper County. It is published by Virtualbookworm and is sold at various museums locally and Amazon. It is also in the reference rooms of the Culpeper and Fauquier County libraries.

The title is "The Lower Rappahannock River Fords of Culpeper County." Would you be interested in listing it in the Book Report?

Thanks,

Steve Walker

[…] Shayla Roland, a fellow University of Mary Washington alum, took part in a special project at the historic Ford’s Theatre in Washington, D.C. She visited the home of Matthew Shepard, the young gay man who was murdered in Laramie, Wyoming, and sifted through thousands of letters to put together a moving exhibition. Read about her in the UMW alumni magazine. […]

Such a terrific article about Karen. She is a special person, indeed. She was visiting her sister in Los Altos, CA a year or so ago, and she, Iris Harrell, Suzanne McCarthy VanNess and I got together for an afternoon, since I only live 5 minutes from Los Altos. These alumni profiles help to strengthen the bonds made so long ago. Thank you for remembering those of us who graduated long ago, but still have so much warmth in our hearts for UMW.
