Fonda Davis Eyler, Roberta Hatcher Graves, Mary Haga Doermann, and Judy Douglass Everett recently met in Medina, Ohio, at Mary and Perry’s home to spend four days together for a “Suite-Mate” reunion. The last time they were together was June, 2013. Trying not to dwell on health issues, they were all grateful to be together again.

Fonda and John are enjoying their retirement from the University of Florida faculty in Gainesville. Their time is now spent on volunteer activities, and many trips to California to enjoy visiting their daughter and her two girls and their son and his three boys.

Roberta and Spottswood are still living on the Outer Banks of North Carolina. She recently wrote, choreographed, and performed in a musical about George Gershwin. She is lucky to have her two children and two grandchildren (14 and one) living close by.

Mary and Perry just celebrated the wedding of their son in January during a surprise snow storm. Her daughter, who works in Seattle, was in for the wedding. One of Mary’s volunteer activities is working with the Weymouth Preservation Society, which recently received the Award for Outstanding Grassroots Achievement from the Cleveland Restoration Society for their creation of a township museum in the old schoolhouse in Weymouth, Ohio.

Judy and Keith are enjoying retirement in their travel trailer, looking forward to their next trip up through Canada and down the west coast. Their oldest daughter and six-year-old grandson live in Tampa. Another daughter lives in Austin and is fostering a 17-month-old toddler with hopes of adoption. Their youngest daughter was just ordained a Deacon in the United Methodist Church.

And finally, they gave a shout out to Bardahl as we recalled with laughter—Bonking, Dweeting, speaking Ob, Grunt runs, gradooing, and remembering Earl Davis, down Five Mile Fork. So many wonderful memories!

Nancy McDonald Legat and her husband Dan continue to enjoy their retirement in Lexington, South Carolina. Their three daughters and sons-in-law, seven grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren all live close by and they often enjoy getting together.
