When Sarah Kosak Calvert started Mary Washington in 1980, she lived in Fairfax, Virginia. She went to law school and owned a legal practice for years, before earning a master’s degree and Ph.D. at Wesley Theological Seminary. She’s been a United Methodist pastor for 10 years. Recently, work with Northern Virginia churches in revitalization and leadership development took her back to Fairfax.
Marianna Rixey Scott ’85 and Mark Scott’s eldest daughter,Maggie, planned an October wedding. Mark spent a weekend with Jerry Pumphrey.
After 30 years leading IBM human resources, James Miller retired.
