I know some of you are thrown off by the lag time between Class Notes deadlines and the arrival of the magazine’s corresponding editions. Look for deadline boxes in this section for publication and due dates.

As social chair on my neighborhood board of directors, I planned a community caroling event. Husband Tom and I hosted a holiday party in our home and celebrated Christmas with our family in Lexington, Va. We had New Year’s Eve and Super Bowl parties and organized a St. Patrick’s Day neighborhood chili cook-off. We hike and camp with the Atlanta Outdoor Club and were excited for spring. We planned a trip to Florida and were looking forward to Reunion Weekend in June. I hadn’t been on campus in about 15 years and was anxious to see the changes!

After 15 years of marriage, Greg and Chere Hedges Trehey of Arnold, Md., have children Joseph, 13, Aimee, 10, Matthew, 7, and Andrew, 4, whom they homeschool. Chere is an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant, plans to build a private practice, and volunteers with a breastfeeding support organization.

Tevin Chaney of Fredericksburg works in the GIS division of the City of Alexandria, Va. He accepted a yearlong project funded by the Republic of Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Education and Science to create an interactive electronic atlas of the country. Tevin, who is in a relationship with Mary Ann McDonald ’91, is on track to finish graduate school in November.

Jeff and Linda Kelly Hadley live in Apex, N.C., with children Anna, 9, and Will, 5. They juggled gymnastics, soccer, and baseball this spring. Linda has helped run charity events, and they planned to go to the beach this summer and to visit Disney for Christmas.

Helen Thompson Mosher considers herself a Mary Washington alumna though she ended up earning a degree from Temple University. She enjoys reading Class Notes and has been in touch with lots more alumni since her last update. She and husband Dean welcomed son Jesse in 2009. Older son, Kieran Shaw, applied to UMW. Helen works at AFCEA International, where she won a recent APEX Grand Award for the SIGNAL Magazine website.

Kathleen Reilly works for Virginia Tourism Corp. and received the 2011 Journey Through Hallowed Ground Certified Tourism Ambassador Star Award. Nick Miller ’94 of San Antonio has worked for Choice Hotels International since 2001. He, wife Robin, and sons Noah and Wesley are huge fans of the American Hockey League’s San Antonio Rampage, so when they traveled to Canada in December they saw them play in Hamilton and Toronto.

Thanks to everyone who sent updates. We’re connected in many digital ways, but this magazine’s format is a wonderful way to stay in touch with Mary Washington and one another. I hope to have relived the good ole days and made new memories with many of you at our reunion in June by the time you read this!
