From Kim Jones Isaac: When I was home last Summer for reunion weekend, I stayed with Bev Newman ’88. Bev always gives me a place to lay my head when I’m visiting and we had a blast. Of course, we made a trip to Sammy T’s (that’s almost mandatory). We also cruised around Richmond, visiting Cooper Hawk winery, doing a beer tasting (not in the same day!), catching an amazing exhibit at the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts, and eating some great food. Of course, there is always a lot of “do you remember when?”. Can’t wait to visit again and sit on your balcony with an adult beverage!

After 7 years at the Greenbelt Aquatic & Fitness Center, Julie Magness took a new job last Summer as Human Resources Specialist for the City of Greenbelt. Her commute is still a dream – only takes an extra 15 seconds driving or 1 minute walking. She is pleased to announce two exciting things for 2017 — her cousin Quinton Veach will be attending UMW and Julie and her wife have tickets to see Hamilton in NYC! Congratulations Quinton! So awesome to see family members following in our footsteps at UMW!

Kelly Flynn Hanson has been living in the Louisville, KY area for the past 9 years. She works for Leidos as a pricing analyst and telecommutes from home. Kelly’s son, Ben, is a junior and daughter, Ally, is a freshman in high school. Her husband, Tim, is a helicopter pilot for Air Evac Lifeteam in Danville, KY. Kelly reports that the family enjoys living a peaceful life on their acreage. She helps out with various akita rescue groups across the U.S. and has 2 akitas, a mutt, a horse and several barn cats. She looks forward to catching up with classmates at the 30th reunion in June. Seems like just yesterday that I saw Kelly and many other classmates at the 20^th reunion!
