Jane Smallwood is still dancing with The Wright Tappers but not as well as earlier.  She has 2 cruises planned for 2019:  one around Iceland with her daughter, Ann, on a Wind Star vessel, and one to the Western Caribbean so her bridge partner, Dorothy Reynolds, can fulfill the remaining item on her bucket list – swimming with the sting rays.

We’re sorry to report that Margaret Hines Sickels passed away June 19, 2019, at 91.
After graduating from Mary Washington, she earned a master’s degree and a Ph.D. in biological sciences from Northwestern University and spent a career in higher education helping instill in her students an appreciation of biology and the wonders and beauty of our natural world.
Besides teaching at numerous colleges and universities, she embraced passions for birding, travel, music, art, and more. A son, Stephen Sickels, and a daughter-in-law, Elizabeth Lemersal, survive her.
