Kaitlin Dinan and Gene Kimball Jr. ‘11 are expecting their first child at the end of January.

 In June 2019, Gwen Holdgreiwe (2010) married William Roy-Harrison during an intimate beach ceremony in Costa Rica. Fellow UMW graduates in attendance were Aidan McCurdy Murphy (2010) and Michael Murphy (2007). Gwen and Will are expecting a baby boy in March 2020.

Congratulations to Devin Day ’10 on a successful opening of Lucas Hnath’s Hillary and Clinton on Broadway starring Laurie Metcalf and John Lithgow. This marks Devin’s 8th Broadway show! We are so proud of Devin and our many stage management alumni who are making careers for themselves because of the exceptional training they received in our stage management program.

Thalia Halpert Rodis, class of 2011, became ordained as a rabbi in May 2020 from Hebrew Union College- Jewish Institute of Religion in New York, NY.

Kira Lanewala, MPH currently lives and works in Orlando, FL as the Research Program Manager for Planned Parenthood of Southwest and Central Florida. In the spring of 2020, she plans to spend 3-4 months with her partner in Fortaleza, Brazil before relocating to the Southern California area in the early summer.

Fitz Maro ’11 joined Pinterest in 2018 as their first-ever Creative Technology Lead, ramping up before the company’s 2019 IPO on the NYSE. Since 2016 Fitz has been honored as a Google “Young Innovator,” AdAge “Global Creative You Should Know”; earned the industry’s top awards for his work on HBO, Jamison, Canon, Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation; featured in articles by Forbes, TIME, Fortune, Fox, AdWeek, AdAge; Judged at the North American ADDYs, Campaign Magazine’s awards; guest lectured at Syracuse Newhouse, LIU Marketing, VCU Brandcenter; and was a winner in UMW’s First Annual College of Business Alumni Awards.

Aaron McPherson ’12 married Evan Smallwood ’15 on November 2nd. The ceremony was on campus in the Heslep Amphitheater at UMW. Also in attendance were Molly Carr ‘88, Lindsay London ‘06, Kelly Caldwell ‘10, Luisa Dispenzine ‘12, Lula Sargent ‘15, Miriam McCue ‘16, Quinn Doyle ‘16, Sarah Campbell ‘16 and Ray Celeste Tanner ‘16.

Lindsey River (Jiao) ‘12 and Matt River ‘11 are expecting their first baby in late January 2020 and they are having a girl!

Mandi Solomon ‘12 got engaged to Jonathan Gold on December 21st.

Brian Brown ’12 has joined UDig as software engineering consultant. Brown had been with GeoDecisions and is a graduate of University of Mary Washington.

Politico reported that political science major Sean Simons and history and communications major Sarah Tagg got engaged in September 2019. The publication said Simons was press secretary at the ONE Campaign, and Tagg was strategic communications representative at Northrop Grumman Corp.

Christine Lane (formerly Clements) got married in September to Ricky Lane Jr. The couple also bought their first home in Stafford in September where they live with their dog Lily. Christine also started a position at the Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History in March and finished her masters degree in Museum Studies with Johns Hopkins University in May.

Elizabeth Storey graduated with her PhD in School Psychology from the University of South Florida in August 2019. She is currently completing a Post Doctoral Fellowship in Cypress-Fairbanks Independent School District, outside of Houston, TX.

Grace Christenson has been promoted to account manager to help support the Little League Marketing Department, where she’s worked since 2017.

Christen Barco and Matthew Lloyd ’16 planned to marry in April 2020.

Warren Jones and his wife started an online mail-order athletic apparel company, RYALTY Apparel, which is on Facebook as Royalty Apparel. Warren also works for Geico in Maryland.

Nina Danielle Wutrich graduated from Syracuse University Florence with an M.A. in Italian Renaissance Art in 2019. She will remain in Italy in 2020 to teach art and architectural history.

Grace Foust and Jacob Huffman, both undergrads class of 2018, are engaged to be married on September 5, 2020 in Lexington, VA. We met at UMW; we were in the same freshman dorm (Bushnell) and shared a friend group. We stayed friends all through school, became best friends, began dating Junior year, and have been together ever since. It is truly a relationship that was formed on friendship first. We never would have met if we had not both gone to UMW and had not selected the same freshman dorm.
